Top international brands endorsed by Polish celebrities – part 2
The most successful sportsmen also hold the status of celebrities and their endorsement is sought after by the top marketeers. Football remains the most popular sport discipline in Poland despite the lack of international success of the Polish National Team. Before the most important football events (The World Cup and the European Championships) the most recognizable Polish football players always get some advertising offers. In the last years Ebi Smolarek has had the most notable record of advertising appearances. He became Polish ambassador of Pepsi during the last Euro championship and was featured in the Pepsi promo commercial.
Ebi Smolarek, who played in such football teams as: Feyenoord Rotterdam, Borussia Dortmund, Racing Santander and Bolton Wanderers, was also hired by Samsung to promote its new line of LCD Full HD sets in TV, outdoor and print campaign.
Another hot Polish athlete is Agnieszka Radwańska – the most successful Polish tennis player in history. Last year she managed to reach WTA Top 10 and she was hired by Procter & Gamble to become the ambassador of Ariel, the top washing powder brand.
Agnieszka Radwańska was featured in this massive outdoor campaign and in a TV commercial in which her mother worries over the washing results of Agnieszka’s white tennis outfits. Of course Ariel detergent comes to rescue…

Coming back to the non-sport celebrities, Joanna Brodzik, a popular Polish actress who starred in several TV series that were highly successful with women target group such as: Kasia & Tomek and Magda M., was selected by Suzuki to become Polish ambassador of Suzuki Swift car.
Joanna Brodzik also starred in a TV spot for Suzuki Swift which was shot on location in Lisbon and it was the first locally-prepared Polish commercial for Suzuki, not an adaptation of some international format.
Soon a special limited edition of Suzuki Swift was introduced to the market – it was called Joanna Brodzik edition – it had dimmed back windows, elegant aluminium rims, and heated front seats. Of course Joanna Brodzik promoted her own Swift edition in a billboard campaign.
